Insights from the 2024 Potsdam Conference
The seventh international conference "Myth, Ritual and Practice for the Age of Ecological Catastrophe," held from May 17 to May 19, 2024, at Universität Potsdam, Germany, aimed to explore the role of myth, ritual, and practice in addressing the environmental crisis. Ömer F. Gürlesin attended in person, while Frank Bosman and Deborah de Koning presented their work online.

From 11th September 2023 until 13th September 2023 the BASR (British Association for the Study of Religions) Annual Conference 2023 was held in collaboration with CenSAMM (Centre for the Critical Study of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements) at Clare’s College in Cambridge. The theme of the conference was “Environmental Endings and Religious Futures”. The two post-doctoral researchers of the NWO project ‘Religion and Climate Change’ – Ömer F. Gürlesin and Deborah de Koning – attended the conference.

On August 23, at the KU Leuven's Didachè-Studiedagen Bijbel 2023 event themed "De Bijbel als bron van hoop en vertrouwen in donkere tijden," Caroline Vander Stichele gave an academic presentation titled “Apocalyps en klimaatverandering: een angstaanjagend of hoopvol discours?” which translates to "Apocalypse and climate change: a terrifying or hopeful discourse?"
