Mini-Lecture at the Opening of the Academic Year

On 1 September 2025, Deborah de Koning and Fleur van der Zwalum delivered an inspiring mini-lecture during the opening of the academic year. Their contribution was part of the Seed Money Project “What if things don’t turn out well?”.

In this lecture, they demonstrate how youth literature and rituals can create an imaginative space for exploring alternative future scenarios. Such a space allows for the expression and understanding of diverse climate emotions, which is particularly relevant for the younger generation.

During the session, Deborah and Fleur also performed a ritual on stage, making the theoretical insights tangible and experiential.
